Oh Shooter - Robin Thicke

I'm slowly dying here. I can't be in this place anymore but I not longer no any where else to go. Everyone bothers me, every place has a gray layer to it, and time is running right past me without letting me get a word in. My moves to Chicago in a little more than a week. So what does that mean. Do I no longer have a "home" because I've always known home as where ever my mom was. Now that world is starting to have less and less meaning. I just need for March to come and go as fast as humanly possibly. I miss appreciating the mundane and the pretty. I miss being able to appreciate life as the seconds go by. Now the days mush together with no real meaning. I need to get out of this place if not for a day than for a a minute.

Faithful - Common

Today was an amazing day and it matched the previous night perfectly. I was at Jay’s house this morning and he made us scrambled eggs and I made the toast. The original plan for the day was going to be Jay going to the lib for the rest of the day while I went over to Erica’s to use her InDesign to design my resume then Erica and I were going to go to the art building to get a couple other things done. Well it really didn’t play out like that. Pretty much Jay and I abandoned the whole being productive idea and lounged around the house for a bit. Poked around and then headed over to Erica’s house. Then Jay, Erica, Kidder, Larson and I headed over to Pinball Petes’ and just had an amazing time at the arcade. It was funny because when everyone walked in I turned to see everyone’s faces and everyone had the biggest smile. It was awesome. After about an hour or so of playing games Jay and I headed to Barnes and Noble. I started to read this book called Alice in Wonderland and Philosophy while Jay took a mini nap. Than Erica and Kidder met up with us at Lou and Harrys bar for Pizza Bar Hour. Pretty much it’s 3 hours of free pizza; all you have to do is buy a beer. We stuffed ourselves. After about 3 hours of indulging ourselves with pizza we went our separate ways and Jay and I headed over to a friends house. The day was ideal. I just wish the night could have met the same perfection but why deal with the negative when you can shine with the positive.

Out of Gas – Modest Mouse

Hi. So today was so wonderful. I spent 3 hours cleaning the whole apartment (minus rooms). I cleaned the kitchen, the living room, and our bathroom. When it was time for me to clean my room I was so dead tired that I kind of just cleaned the surface of things. Then I got ready for my big Valentines date. I showered, did my nails, tanned, and even curled my hair. Being pretty is always a helping step toward confidence. Jay picked me up and to my extreme surprise he brought me a rose. I got him a 6 pack of all these different beers because I know how he really enjoys trying new beers. We went to this comedy club and he completely wine and dined me. The whole night was just so wonderful. This had to be the best Valentines date if not top two for sure.

Burning of the Midnight Lamp - Jimi Hendrix

Hiiiiii. I’m so horrible with keeping up with my blogs. It’s not that I don’t want to or that I have no time. It’s the reason being that I hardly live at home anymore and home is where my laptop resides for safety reasons, as we all know.
Although Sus did give me a pep talk on keeping up with my blog so lets try this again.

So waking up this morning was close to horrible due to the fact that the guy who I bought my new gloves from yesterday had warned me “tomorrow there is going to be a 100% chance of snow and at least a foot if not more”. As you can imagine it was horrible looking out the window this morning knowing that my fate would most likely leave me with soaked boots, cold ears and nose, and everyone being crabby. So I got dressed with as many layers and I could possibly find and just went for it. Ten hours later in the day I am sitting at work looking out the window. The only way I could express the outside world is white; pure white with not even a hint of color. I haven’t seen it snow this bad for a while… stupid groundhog coursing us with his stupid shadow. If it weren’t for the feeling of bitter cold I would really enjoy these days. The days where everything looks so pure and make you stop and thank whichever higher power you believe in for this blanket of beauty. Everyone is saying how school is going to be cancelled but that does me no good considering I don’t have school on Wednesdays. How about canceling Thursday class anyone?!?!

Besides the bitter cold world that awaits me after work, I’ve gotten a lot done in my artist world. I’m preparing for the Senior Gallery Show March 14-19. I spent the whole day at Jay’s yesterday designing my posters and postcards. It’s pretty exciting, minus the fact that it’s in a month and the actual artwork has yet to be composed. My biggest fear is $$$$. What I have envisioned for my gallery are these HUGE prints that really make a statement about the human face. This vision will most likely run me anywhere between 300$ – 400$. I think I’m going to start putting on the puppy face and asking the family to help their lovely starving artist. Here is my design thus far.

Tomorrow I meet with my prof to get some critiques. I hope it goes well

Electric Feel (Justice Remix) - MGMT

Today was Susan's first day in Michigan. I tried to make it really laid back for her considering she is on vacation. We woke up at around ten, picked up some food, made these awesome sandwiches, then headed to Ericas. We watched Kyle play video games while Steph and Erica tried to solve this 100 piece puzzle. Their off to a good start. After hanging around for about an hour, Susan, Erica and I all went to the studio to play around. At first we played around a little with the lights and some gels. Then Melissa showed up and I was able to get some really good pictures! <3

Then after our small shoot, I wanted to give Susan a tour of campus. Unfortunately it was raining and muggy. So I just showed her around the art building until we headed back to my apartment.

Reckoner - Radiohead

HAPPY FIRST OF THE MONTH!

No way is it November already. I'm pretty sure we skipped over September and half of October.
Well yesterday was my favorite day of the year, HALLOWEEN!
The day was much nicer then the one before so I gave Susan a real tour of campus. The sun wasn't out but you could still see how beautiful campus was.
I took her to the art building wall that is beautifully turning all colors.

Then we went to the botanical gardens where everything was dead except for this
amazingly yellow tree

After our walk all around campus we met up with Steph and Erica for some wings. Then headed home to start the festivities! The night was so much fun and everyones costumes were great!
